Quality and safety

NAL Authorization
A Naktuinbouw Authorized Laboratory is a company laboratory authorized to perform quality testing. The system ensures that our seed laboratories offer and maintains the required levels of reliability.

ISTA Accreditation
ISTA Accreditation verifies whether a laboratory is technically competent to carry out seed testing procedures in accordance with the ISTA International Rules for Seed Testing.

GSPP Certification
Good Seed and Plant Practices (GSPP) is an international business chain system ensuring compliance with quality management systems, work methods, and information supply. Production sites are periodically checked, and audit organizations verify healthy seeds and plants and reliable quality information per site, entity, or lot/batch.

PGRP Approval
The Phytosanitary Risk Management Plan (PGRP) is part of Regulation (EU) 2016/2031 on plant health and aims to identify risks at the production site and develop solutions to reduce or eliminate them. It covers seed production at the Uchaud site, industrial processes for all seeds, and the movement of seeds with a phytosanitary passport within the EU.

EU Phytosanitary Passport
The legal framework for the EU plant health policy since 2019 is Regulation (EU) 2016/2031. This regulation sets out rules for the classification and listing of regulated pests, as well as requirements for the introduction and movement of certain plants and plant products within the EU.
